I added pictures on my family cards, but the pictures disappeared. What happened and how do I fix it?
First, make sure that you haven't disabled the option to display your preferred pictures. To do this, click on the View icon in the tool bar. There should be a black dot next to the Show Preferred Picture menu option. If you don't see the dot, click on the "Show Preferred Picture" menu option to enable it.
If that doesn't help, it's likely that your multimedia links have been broken. In Reunion, multimedia links are based on the relative path of the multimedia file to the Reunion application file. If your pictures or Reunion application file have been moved or renamed, then the links will be broken.
In this case, there are two ways to fix the problem...
- Put the files back into their original location. This will allow Reunion to find the files once again.
- Define a new Multimedia folder location by choosing Options -> Multimedia. You will want to add the location of your pictures folder in the Multimedia Folders list. You can add up to twelve locations in this list. If Reunion can't find the multimedia item in its original location, it will look for it in the folders you list. This will avoid the need to manually change each multimedia link.
