Some of its claims to fame are: simple data exchange for ASCII and GEDCOM files (which means it easily shares information with your word processing program or a page layout program), on-screen reformatting and previewing of charts, and the ability to add scanned photos or documents to your research.
One standout feature in Reunion is its SuperChart program, which gives you great flexibility in formatting and printing out your charts. This program also handles non-traditional family relationships -- adopted children, unmarried couples -- easily.
